Collective body is a pseudo-medical art study of the microbiota on the hands and in the saliva of the artists and employees of the CCA Winzavod's Open Studios. Each individual carries with them a unique community of microorganisms that play a crucial role in the immunological, hormonal, and metabolic homeostasis of the host.
"I collected saliva samples and prints from the skin on the hands of artists and employees of Winzavod's Open Studios. And I repeated the collection with the visitors of Cosmoscow art fair, which was held at the peak of the second wave of COVID-19.
After 2 weeks of germination on various nutrient media, it was already possible to trace common bacterial patterns of those who communicate closer and more often," - Alina Brovina
